Andrew Hutchinson just recently published “Why is Digital Marketing Important for Business in 2019?” on April 7, 2019 in SocialMediaToday using infographics, which will also be shown. Digital marketing is a significant part of any modern day business approach. The article contains 100 data points that highlight just how important it is for business to utilize digital marketing. It states that business can use digital channels as leverage including email, search engines, websites, and social media in order to connect with current and prospective customers. In Figure 1, Hutchinson shows statistics that prove just how impactful digital marketing can be. I found it interesting that more than 51% of people using smartphones have found products first by using their phone. In the next two years, video advertising will grow into a $22 billion industry, and global retail e-commerce sales will make more than $4.5 trillion.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a marketing discipline that increases visibility in non-paid, or organic, search engine results. It focuses on both the creative and technical elements while improving rankings, increasing traffic, and creating awareness through search engines. Figure 2 contains statistics to prove just how important SEOs are for one’s business. As the figure shows, Google is responsible for up to 94% of organic traffic on the Internet. Around 61% of marketers believe that it is important to improve one’s SEO and create more organic awareness by making it a top priority. I found this part to be intriguing because it says that video content increases organic search results up to 50 times more than plain text, which I was not aware of before analyzing this article. It shows that location is linked to 30% of mobile searches, which can be helpful when improving one’s SEO.

PPC represents pay-per-click, which is a marketing model that advertisers pay a single fee each time of their advertisements are clicked. One of the most popular forms of PPC is using search engine advertising. This type of advertising allows advertisers to pay for ad placement through sponsored links. For instance, someone can search a keyword for a particular service or product, and related advertisements will pop up when the keyword is searched. Figure 3 shows that around 66% of buyer-intent keywords are through PPC, and 64.6% of viewers click on ads through Google when they are looking to purchase something. The article also discusses the important of content marketing, social media, video marketing, and email marketing.

I liked the details insights which would have shared within your post. It has been seen that the growth of the right kind of management of the work systems would have to be handled for the purpose of managing the channels of marketing. First, digital marketing would have to be properly planned for the purpose of ensuring that there would be growth of the right kind of management of the target of the organizations. There would be need for the use of the digital marketing to increase the reach of the organizations which can be possible on the basis of long term management of the right kind of organizational needs. This would be properly possible on the basis of effective means of planning the target markets which are supposed to be handled. The correct management of the marketing in line with the target markets would be necessary to align the work objectives and plans with the right kind of attention to the needs of the target users (Baker & Saren, 2016).
Second, there would be need for the increment of trust and credibility within the work systems of the digital planning so that there would be long term management of credence within the plans. Such kind of trust and capabilities would be crucial for the purpose of ensuring that there would be long term management of the work management. It has been seen that the use of proper credence would be possible on the basis of the long term management of the work initiatives. Credibility would be necessary for the purpose of ensuring that there would be growth of the right kind of management of the relationships with the users. It would allow the development of the long-term brand image of the organizations. This would be necessary for the purpose of dealing with the long term management of the work engagement (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019).

Great post! I really like all the illustrations, they really help understand and getting a quick overview of the topic. I had the opportunity to research Google page rank and why it’s important. It appears that Google page rank will be relevant for a very long time as that is the number one thing that Google is known for. Everyone goes to Google to search for something and that something is usually on the first page. Therefore, to be on the first page, one needs to be mindful of how to get a good page rank.
Page rank was developed back in the day to measure a webpage’s importance. Initially this importance was calculated by how many links lead to that page. Currently, it also looks at resources, content and other search engine optimization efforts. Page ranking is very important as it determines whether a webpage will appear in the first page of a search result (Karch, 2018).
However, there are flaws in the ranking as more individuals have learned the secret on how to obtain a higher page rank. This leads to data manipulation where a good webpage that should rank higher does not, due to manipulation of the data by other webpages in an effort to fool Google’s algorithm. For example, some individuals resort to link farming, which describes the practice of linking without the thought of relevance of the page that is being linked. This is often automated with bots. However, Google has adapted their calculations to filter off possible link forms and even blacklist websites that are intentionally using link farms to backlink and submitting their own site (Karch, 2018).
